Believe it or not, I'm not actually much for gratuetous violence. I can't watch most modern day horror movies, and even some action flicks. It's not that they scare or startle me, because they don't. They're just too gruesome, and I prefer not to see that.
That being said, I can still handle a fair level of violence in cartoons/some comics. Blood by itself doesn't bother me much at all. Also, demon and monster slaying's a dirty business... And I have to admit, drawing the blood spurts from the hydra's neck was pretty fun.
