love how the random Duendo people came out. I was worried my inking would mess them up, but thankfully they didn't.
Though Duendo have several unifying factors, like the hair dye and tattoos, there are still many differences between them, especially from tribe-to-tribe. Duendo are grouped into four basic tribal regions: The Mosi, the Pili, the Atatu (Diyero's group) and the Aishi. Basically, the Mosi live in the jungle and are based off of the
Baka people; the Pili live in subtropical and desert regions, and are based off the
Zulu; the Atatu live in the desert and savanna, and are based off the
Maasai and
Bemba; lastly, the Aishi are also savanna/desert-dwellers and are based off the
Bushmen.
On this page, the group goes through several of these areas - the Mosi jungles in panel 4, the Pili in panel 5, and the Atatu in panel 6.
